Welcome to EVvillage.com, your 'village of EVerything EV'. Electric Vehicles have been around since the late 1800's. A resurgence of interest and technological breakthroughs began in the early 2000's and in 2008  we saw a turning point in the evolution and most importantly the adoption of Electric Vehicles. We acquired a number of domain names and began our quest to be play our part in the electric vehicle revolution. 

Our first to launch was EVtones.com, customized sounds downloaded to your EV's infotainment system.  Why EVtones? Most governments like the United States are mandating that EVs emit sounds to alert the blind and pedestrians to their approach and having your own unique sounds for your EV just makes it more fun.  You can have the Electric Vehicle sounds you want and you can change your EVtones sound anytime you wish.  

EVtones will be a part of this Global rEVolution in Electric Vehicle transportation.  EVtones  help you comply with government regulations and mandates requiring sounds outside your EV while giving you an exiting ICE (In Car Experience) inside your Electric Vehicle...Outside Compliant Inside Defiant!©

EVvillage family of sites FOUNDER
Founder Robert McDowell, a former 3rd generation Oil Industry (Exxon...yes...Exxon) employee, was also founder of a non-profit that supported children of fallen US troops. The organization sent Christmas Gift Cards to the children and sent many of the kids on 'Christmas in July' Disney Cruises.

Working with families of the fallen and a desire to help wean the US off of Middle East oil is what fueled McDowell to launch EVtones.com, EVtires.com as well as other EV related companies. The fewer barrels of oil we import from over there the more our military men and women can spend time with their families here (USA...or your applicable country).

McDowell also co-produced a CD featuring children of fallen troops and he and the CD were featured on The NBC Today Show. The CD made #8 on billboard charts. McDowell has met with the POTUS (GWB at WH), two Secretaries of Defense, numerous Hollywood Celebs (ie. Will Smith, Gary Sinese) and Sports Stars (ie. Tom Brady, Larry Izzo) in support of the children.  

(Children of fallen troops are an integral part of this company. A portion of our profits will go to support these kids.
